Q: What is the warranty on your retro appliances?
A: Our Big Chill fridge warranty is one year on parts and labor, 5 years on the compressor. Warranty on the Northstar stove is one year on parts and labor, 5 years on the smooth burner and bake elements.

Q: What is your current lead time?
A: Lead time is approximately 4 weeks on our retro refrigerator. Lead time on the Northstar retro stove is approximately 6-8 weeks. Give us a call as this can vary. Rush services are usually available on the refrigerator. Cost is $250. Call us for details.

Q: Where are the water dispenser and ice maker located in the vintage fridge?
A: Both features are interior. We're able to keep the vintage look outside and give you the modern amenities inside!

Q: Where is the Big Chill fridge available?
A: Currently, we are only able to warranty our fridge in the Continental United States. We occasionally sell product outside of the US, but you're on your own with any repair. The Northstar range by Elmira Stoveworks is available in Canada and all 50 states.

Q: What brand of refrigerator do you use with the Big Chill?
A: We use big name guts with our retro fridge. Give us a call for the details.

Q: Who makes your vintage stove?
A: We've got an exclusive deal with the Northstar brand (Made by Elmira Stoveworks). They can match our colors in a durable, glossy, powder coat finish.

Q: How can I see an exact color sample?
A: You've got 2 options. 1. All of our refrigerator retailers have color samples on display. 2. Give us a call and order a metal color sample. Cost is $4. Call us at 1-877-842-3269 with any questions.

Q: Do you offer custom colors for your vintage appliances?
A: Yes! We now offer a wide variety of custom colors with our fridges. Check out our COLORS page for the details. Northstar ranges can also be custom painted to match your Big Chill.

Q: Are your fridge doors metal or plastic?
A: METAL, of course. Our steel doors are fabricated using a traditional stamping process...Just like they did back in the '50's.

Q: What is the difference between a Curbside and an Inside delivery?
A: A Curbside delivery is typically brought to the first dry area. If there are steps, your fridge will be left at the bottom. You are responsible for uncrating it and getting it in your house. With a Curbside delivery, grab a tool set and a few of your strongest friends. Shipping weight for the fridge is close to 400 lbs. With an Inside delivery (recommended), our shippers uncrate your appliance, bring it into your vintage kitchen, remove all packaging and take the debris with them. Stairs, door removal and old fridge removal are extra charges. Please refer to Pricing page for specifics.

Q: Will this retro style refrigerator fit through my door?
A: Check out our specifications page to see all measurements. As a last resort, fridge doors can be removed. Please measure carefully. We cannot accept returns on fridges that do not fit in your house.

Q: Is the Big Chill fridge Energy Star rated?
A: Every Big Chill is Energy Star rated, minus two: Black (no extras) and Black (ice maker package). Black refrigerators with Ice Maker and Water Dispenser together are Energy Star rated. Call us if you're still confused.

Q: Do you offer financing on your vintage kitchen appliances?
A: When ordering fridges and stoves you can pay half down and half before it ships. Of course, you can pay in full if you prefer.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: If you have placed your order but we haven't started building your fridge, the cancellation fee is $100. If we have already built your fridge, but it hasn't shipped, the cancellation fee is $500. Once your fridge leaves our warehouse, it's yours.

Q: Will the shipping company hook up my water dispenser or ice maker?
A: Sorry, the shipping company isn't qualified to do plumbing or electrical work.
